Getting Started on Metis

What is Liquid Staking?

Liquid staking allows you to stake your cryptocurrency assets while retaining access to them for other DeFi activities. This is achieved through the issuance of a tokenized derivative representing your staked assets plus any accruing rewards.

How to Stake with Velix on METIS

  1. Stake METIS: Stake your Metis to receive veMetis, which earns yields from the sequencer.

  2. Participate in DeFi: Use veMetis across the Metis DeFi ecosystem for activities such as lending and borrowing.

  3. Redeem veMETIS: Redeem your veMETIS with and wait for maturity period to complete the redemption.
